Responsibilities

• Edit daily news stories, breaking news, and special reports using non-linear, computer-based editing equipment
• Deliver high-quality video content in both short and long formats for News
• Collaborate closely with producers, reporters, and the control room to ensure flawless on-air execution
• Find and select appropriate content from feeds to match scripts
• Search for and utilize archive videos to enhance storytelling
• Work with Content Management and Engineering teams to report and resolve technical incidents
• Coordinate with master control for the final submission of shows
• Provide creative suggestions for story production and continuous process improvement
• Maintain efficiency to ensure all video content meets strict on-air deadlines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of professional video editing experience
• Expert knowledge of Avid Media Composer
• Expert knowledge of I-news rundown
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and oral)
