Responsibilities

• Perform creative storytelling using high journalistic standards, editing video elements including voice-overs, SOTS, packages, graphics, and teases
• Operate non-linear edit systems, utilizing tools such as Edius and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop)
• Create engaging vertical video content for social media platforms like YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels
• Multi-task and self-direct to meet fast-paced newsroom workflow demands
• Monitor quality control, story scripts, and producer notes while managing media ingest processes

Requirements

• BA/BS in journalism, communications, or a related field, or commensurate experience
• 2-5 years of newsroom experience preferred
• Proficiency in non-linear edit systems and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, open-plan newsroom environment
