Editor, Oil & Gas Middle East

Responsibilities

• Drive editorial planning and execution across the monthly magazine, website, newsletters, and social channels.
• Maintain the brand's position as a leading voice in the regional energy sector by developing relationships with operators, EPCs, and government entities.
• Oversee content output across print and digital platforms, ensuring accuracy, depth, and proactive journalism.
• Stay updated on key developments in upstream exploration, decarbonisation, hydrogen, LNG, and petrochemicals.
• Play a central role in the brand’s events portfolio, including moderating panel discussions and conducting on-stage interviews.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to support sponsored features and content partnerships while maintaining editorial integrity.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of editorial experience, ideally within B2B or business publishing.
• Strong interest in oil and gas, energy, or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of the GCC energy landscape, particularly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
• Proficiency with CMS platforms, social media channels, and newsletter systems.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and interviewing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced media environment.
• Willingness to travel across the GCC for industry events and summits.
