Responsibilities

• Lead the editorial direction, flat-planning, and forward planning for the print magazine.
• Commission and write high-quality content for both print and digital platforms.
• Drive daily digital output on identity.ae, including news, features, and profiles.
• Develop and implement digital content strategies using SEO research and performance data.
• Ideate and execute video content strategies and host the identity podcast.
• Lead the editorial side of the identity Design Awards, including managing international juries.
• Build and maintain relationships with architecture practices, design studios, and developers.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to deliver creative solutions that maintain editorial integrity.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional writing and editing experience, including leadership of a title or section.
• Proven experience in print magazine management (flat-planning, commissioning, and subbing).
• Strong design literacy with a deep understanding of architecture and interiors.
• Fluency in SEO and daily CMS usage, with an ability to make data-informed editorial decisions.
• Experience developing video or podcast content.
• Knowledge of UAE press and publication law.
• Excellent written English with a portfolio demonstrating both long-form and digital work.
