About the role
Responsibilities
- Report on medical studies, clinical guidelines, diagnostic and therapeutic innovations, congresses, and press conferences
- Plan and create content for print editions, websites, newsletters, and social media channels
- Monitor the newsdesk for current developments and provide timely reporting
- Commission freelance authors and edit their texts to ensure high-quality, engaging content
- Maintain professional relationships with medical societies, expert authors, and industry partners
- Manage selected projects, including corporate publishing initiatives
- Work within an interdisciplinary editorial team to plan cross-media content
Requirements
- Degree in medicine, science, pharmacy, or journalism
- Completed journalistic traineeship (Volontariat)
- Professional experience in a medical or online editorial environment
- Excellent German language skills with a strong command of journalistic writing styles
- Good proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and social media platforms
- Strong communication skills, organizational ability, and a team-oriented mindset
