Editor, Brew Markets

Responsibilities

• Edit and publish Brew Markets newsletters on a regular daily schedule
• Assign stories to reporters and shape story angles, headlines, and structure
• Ensure all content adheres to Morning Brew’s style guide, tone, and voice
• Collaborate with reporters, designers, and data visualization partners on content development
• Maintain high standards for accuracy, clarity, and readability
• Manage last-minute changes and breaking news updates under tight deadlines
• Oversee editorial workflows to ensure smooth operations during the interim period

Requirements

• Experience editing in a newsroom or media environment, ideally covering business, markets, or finance
• Strong understanding of financial news, markets, and investing concepts
• Excellent editorial judgment and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work closely with reporters and designers under strict deadlines
• Proficiency with online publishing tools and collaborative digital workflows
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
