About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and upgrade EDI systems to ensure seamless trading partner implementation.
- Define the overall B2B technical integration strategy and roadmap, including high-availability design and cloud migrations.
- Lead the development of complex maps using Sterling Map Editor and Business Processes (BPML) to automate data transformation (X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON).
- Configure and maintain EDI connections via AS2, SFTP, VANs, and other protocols.
- Monitor and analyze EDI systems to ensure efficiency and adherence to company requirements.
- Provide Level 3 technical leadership for critical production issues and mentor junior EDI developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in B2B integration and EDI.
- 5+ years in an Architect, Technical Lead, or equivalent senior design role.
- Expert-level understanding of IBM Sterling B2BI, including BPML and Sterling Map Editor.
- Proven ability to install, configure, and tune multi-node B2BI instances across Unix/Linux and Windows.
- Strong knowledge of EDI standards such as X12 and EDIFACT.
- Experience with modern DevOps practices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in 3PL operations or the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Good understanding of DSCSA and EPCIS standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
