Edge Compute and Data Center Architect

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale edge compute and storage systems for big-data infrastructure
• Lead design, deployment, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure
• Optimize and manage virtualization and containerization technologies
• Design and manage networking infrastructure for robust connectivity and security
• Implement security protocols and conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments
• Ensure infrastructure is built with cost and resource efficiency
• Maintain compliance with industry standards like NIST and ITAR

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, or network engineering
• 5+ years of enterprise-level data center engineering experience
• Experience with heterogeneous compute infrastructure (CPUs, GPUs, servers, storage)
• Strong knowledge of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall industry experience
• Experience with high-speed data and InfiniBand
• Experience scaling infrastructure in a startup environment
• Experience with edge-compute capabilities (IoT, ground stations, or hardware-centric operations)
• Understanding of NIST 800-171 and ITAR compliance
