ED Tech

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with the completion of patient care activities, considering the patient's developmental level
• Deliver basic patient care and provide comfort measures to patients and families
• Maintain the patient care environment and report patient responses to nursing interventions
• Perform patient transport and ensure a safe, hazard-free physical environment
• Handle patient information with strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy standards
• Act as a member of the Collaborative Practice team to meet changing census and customer needs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• PCA Training or active enrollment in a healthcare-related education program (e.g., nursing, pre-med, radiology, respiratory, or vet tech)
• Phlebotomy certification
• CPR - BLS certificate (must be obtained within 2 weeks of hire)
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by the hospital's insurance carrier
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• EMT Basic certification
• 1-2 years of relevant clinical experience
