Responsibilities

• Design marketplace mechanism design including pricing, incentives, and allocation rules
• Perform causal measurement of marketplace health such as liquidity, match quality, and fill rate
• Conduct A/B and marketplace/switchback experiments to evaluate interventions
• Forecast and model supply, demand, and capacity across the talent network
• Provide economic framing of ranking, matching, and routing objectives in partnership with ML and engineering

Requirements

• Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in Economics or a related quantitative field
• Strong foundation in microeconomics, market design, causal inference, and experimentation
• Proficiency with SQL and Python or R
• Ability to translate economic theory into production-ready mechanisms and metrics
• Clear communication skills for technical and business audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with marketplaces, pricing, ranking/matching, or two-sided platforms
• Familiarity with experimentation under interference
• Experience partnering with ML and engineering teams to productionize models
