Economics Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based Economics lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment tailored to diverse learning styles, including EAL and gifted students
• Differentiate teaching strategies and integrate technology to enhance student engagement
• Assess, record, and communicate student progress effectively using data to inform personalized support
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine IB-aligned curriculum plans, resources, and assessments
• Contribute to the wider school community through co-curricular activities and school events
• Build positive relationships with parents to support student growth and wellbeing
• Engage in continuous professional learning and reflection to enhance teaching practice

Requirements

• Certified professional teaching qualification at degree level (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent) in Economics
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience teaching Secondary Economics
• Strong passion for inquiry-based teaching and inspiring young learners

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching within the IB curriculum (MYP & DP)
• Ability to contribute to a dynamic, international, and multicultural educational environment
