About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach Introduction to Economics (ECO 1100) face-to-face at various partner correctional institutions in Ohio
- Deliver curriculum developed by the department and organize instruction to maximize student learning
- Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies and use available instructional technology
- Modify instructional methods to meet the needs of diverse students
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters by established deadlines
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student information
Requirements
- Master's degree in economics, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in economics
- Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work successfully in a diverse community
- Must reside in or be able to perform work within Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky

- Evidence of successful prior teaching experience
