About the role

Responsibilities

  • Integrate profitability analysis with commercial, technical, and industry knowledge to develop economic models and insights
  • Conduct and review commercial, economic, and market analysis to support project and business-specific strategies
  • Ensure accuracy, objectivity, and consistency in all findings and market studies
  • Act as a subject matter expert to assist business teams with complex economic analysis
  • Collaborate within integrated business teams to identify and implement business improvement opportunities
  • Mentor less-experienced employees within the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of total professional experience
  • Over 2 years of specific experience within the Oil & Gas industry
  • Proven experience in financial, technical, or commercial analysis roles
  • Strong expertise in project financial modelling and investment evaluation
  • Exceptional economic modeling capabilities using Microsoft Excel and Python
  • Extensive experience in cash flow modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or a graduate technical degree from a reputable university
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments and managing uncertainty under high-pressure situations
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting complex economic scenarios to senior business leaders
  • Technical background in reservoir, production, facilities, or chemical engineering
