Economic Management Consultant

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage structures for economic monitoring, cost control, and forecasting within the program
• Follow up on budgets, outcomes, forecasts, and economic progress for the program and sub-projects
• Coordinate economic reporting between various sub-projects and contracts
• Analyze cost development, deviations, uncertainties, and economic risks
• Support program and project management with scenario analyses and consequence assessments
• Ensure alignment between cost control, forecasts, and program schedules
• Contribute to the development of WBS, CBS, and economic code structures
• Prepare economic reports, analyses, dashboards, and decision-making materials for leadership and steering groups
• Monitor the economic reporting of contractors and consultants

Requirements

• Documented experience in economic management, cost follow-up, and forecasting in large construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects
• Minimum 10 years of experience in economic project management within complex organizations
• Experience with projects/programs involving multiple parallel sub-projects and complex interfaces
• Experience with projects exceeding 500 MSEK in investment volume
• Proven experience with budgets, forecasts, and economic analysis
• Experience coordinating cost control with scheduling and progress monitoring
• Experience working with WBS, CBS, and coding structures
• Knowledge of contract forms and standard agreements such as AB, ABT, and ABK
• Fluency in spoken and written Swedish

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience from water/sewerage facilities, process industry, or mission-critical facilities
• Experience in program management for large investment programs
• Proficiency in business and project systems for economic follow-up
• Experience with Power BI or similar analysis and reporting tools
• Experience with integrated time and cost control (WBS, CBS, calculation, and schedule)
• Experience with uncertainty analysis or progressive calculation methods
• Experience working in security-classified environments
• Relevant university degree
