About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct ecological surveys and vegetation assessments in various bioregions
- Prepare environmental reports, including ecological impact assessments and management plans
- Contribute to project planning, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
- Assess data and develop native vegetation and ecological assessment reports
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and clients to assist in developing project scopes and proposals
- Participate in ongoing professional development and scientific organizations
Requirements
- Degree in Environmental or Natural Science (Ecology, Botany, Biology, or similar)
- Previous consulting or advisory experience in ecological assessments
- Field experience in flora surveys, ecological monitoring, and species identification
- General fauna survey experience
- Working knowledge of Commonwealth and State environmental legislation
- Proficiency in GIS, field mapping, and managing spatial datasets
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest and willingness to participate in national-scale projects
