About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute in-the-field restoration project work under the direction of a Project Manager
- Install native plant species including trees, shrubs, plugs, and seed
- Install erosion control devices and apply herbicide
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment necessary for restoration projects
- Perform daily documentation and reporting of field activities
- Adhere to all health and safety plans
Requirements
- Associates or bachelor's degree in natural resources or life sciences, OR 3+ years of landscaping experience
- Experience with native and invasive species plant identification
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical work in various weather conditions and terrain
- Experience operating power tools and equipment (e.g., chainsaws, brush cutters, tractors, or skid steers)
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work long hours (10+ hours per day), weekends, and occasional overnight travel
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial Pesticide Applicators Certifications (Categories 5.0 and 6.0)
- Experience with herbicide selection, calibration, and application
- Experience in map reading and basic GIS data entry
- Active Fed Med Card or Class A Commercial Driver's License
