EC&I Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and guidance on Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) systems
• Develop, review, and interpret electrical and instrumentation design documentation including SLDs, Block Cable Diagrams, and Instrument Loop Diagrams
• Perform electrical design calculations such as cable sizing and fault level calculations using AMTECH ProDesign
• Conduct lighting calculations using DIALux
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive Electrical and Instrumentation design dossiers
• Undertake technical research, site surveys, and engineering assessments
• Participate in HAZOP studies, design reviews, and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, industry regulations, and HSE requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• IET BS 7671 18th Edition qualification
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant engineering or design role
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, EPLAN, AMTECH ProDesign, or DIALux
• Professional registration as IEng or CEng (or actively working towards it)
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
