Echocardiographer

Responsibilities

• Perform highly specialised cardiac ultrasound investigations including adult transthoracic, contrast echocardiograms, bubble study, 3D echocardiograms, and Dobutamine/exercise stress echocardiograms
• Assist with and potentially perform transoesophageal echocardiograms and grown-up congenital heart echocardiography
• Independently perform and report echocardiograms to British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) standards
• Support seven-day diagnostic services including weekend work
• Develop and train junior staff through supervision and feedback
• Participate in clinics for inherited cardiac conditions, transplantation, assist devices, and stress echocardiography

Requirements

• BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
• Accreditation by the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE), EACVI, or ARDMS
• Proven experience as an Echocardiographer
• Experience in performing echocardiograms
