Echocardiographer

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of echocardiographic procedures including transthoracic, transoesophageal, and stress echocardiograms
• Prepare patients for procedures and operate ultrasound equipment
• Analyse and interpret echocardiographic data
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to quality control protocols
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive cardiac care

Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist or equivalent
• BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
• Extensive experience in echocardiography including advanced techniques
• Proficiency in using echocardiography equipment and software
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
