Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive transthoracic echocardiographic examinations in accordance with British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) standards
• Independently interpret and report echocardiographic findings, ensuring timely delivery of results
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to integrate findings into holistic health assessments
• Participate in regular cardiology multidisciplinary team meetings
• Liaise directly with cardiologists and follow escalation protocols
• Participate in quality assurance activities, including audit and peer review
• Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to training junior staff

Requirements

• BSE Level 2 Transthoracic Echocardiography Accreditation or equivalent
• More than two years experience post BSE level 2 accreditation
• Proven experience in performing and interpreting a wide range of echocardiographic studies
• Essential ability to perform Global Longitudinal Strain (GLS)
• Excellent communication skills
• Commitment to high clinical standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to perform 3D imaging
• Familiarity with integrating echocardiographic data into preventive health strategies
• Previous involvement in health technology initiatives or research projects
