ECE Teacher Student Internship

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist Lead Teachers in providing quality educational experiences for children
• Participate in daily planned activities and engage in appropriate adult-child interactions
• Assist with active supervision of children both inside and outside the classroom
• Support daily classroom routines including food preparation, toileting, and cleanup
• Help maintain an organized and safe classroom environment
• Participate in daily reviews of classroom activities and child behaviors with teachers
• Adhere to Center policies, Head Start Performance Standards, and NH Child Care Licensing Rules
• Meet regularly with the Lead Teacher to discuss professional growth and internship requirements

Requirements

• Enrolled in a high school ELO program or an ECE college program/related field
• Completed or currently enrolled in an ECE course
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Successful completion of a criminal record check
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional travel between locations
