About the Company

Etched is building AI chips that are hard-coded for individual model architectures. Our first product (Sohu) only supports transformers, but has an order of magnitude more throughput and lower latency than a B200. We are a fully in-person team in Cupertino.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and organize ECAD library for Allegro Layout PCB footprints and MCAD library for Siemens NX
• Create and validate complex schematic symbols and PCB footprints ensuring compliance with IPC standards
• Develop and maintain accurate 3D models and metadata for electronic components in Siemens NX
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with DFM requirements and JEDEC standards
• Partner with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure accurate integration between ECAD and MCAD domains
• Establish and enforce best practices for library version control, part approvals, and data integrity
• Synchronize ECAD and MCAD libraries to prevent design discrepancies
• Collaborate with component suppliers to obtain accurate technical data
• Perform detailed quality checks on symbols, footprints, and models

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in ECAD/MCAD library management
• Expertise in Allegro PCB Editor and Siemens NX
• Understanding of Part Life Cycle, EOL parts, RoHS, and EU regulations
• Strong understanding of IPC standards, JEDEC standards, and mechanical tolerances
• Experience working with manufacturing teams for optimal manufacturability
• Experience with version control systems like Git or PLM software
• Experience with scripting languages such as SKILL for Allegro or NX Open
• Knowledge of BOM management
