EC-SAR Coordinator of Training and Operations

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and efficient execution of SAR operations, managing risk factors and care of personnel and resources.
• Provide direct leadership of SAR operations in the roles of SAR Coordinator and Boat Captain, including multiple "on call" duty periods per week.
• Develop, revise, and present training programs to ensure high standards of execution and successful student learning experiences.
• Manage and develop EC-SAR student members, helping them reach training goals, performance standards, and leadership responsibilities.
• Maintain professional relationships with local, state, and federal agencies for rescue response, training, and protocol adherence.
• Manage budgets related to training programs and activities for students, families, and alumni.
• Provide certifications including NSBC and AHA BLS Provider through lectures and skill training.
• Assist with the execution of the Waterfront storm response plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of experience in EC-SAR operations and team membership.
• Must be an EC-SAR Alumnus.
• Minimum certifications: Coxswain and Operations Coordinator.
• AHA CPR/AED Certification.
• Valid driver license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
