About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient execution of SAR operations, managing risk factors and care of personnel and resources.
- Provide direct leadership of SAR operations in the roles of SAR Coordinator and Boat Captain, including multiple "on call" duty periods per week.
- Develop, revise, and present training programs to ensure high standards of execution and successful student learning experiences.
- Manage and develop EC-SAR student members, helping them reach training goals, performance standards, and leadership responsibilities.
- Maintain professional relationships with local, state, and federal agencies for rescue response, training, and protocol adherence.
- Manage budgets related to training programs and activities for students, families, and alumni.
- Provide certifications including NSBC and AHA BLS Provider through lectures and skill training.
- Assist with the execution of the Waterfront storm response plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of experience in EC-SAR operations and team membership.
- Must be an EC-SAR Alumnus.
- Minimum certifications: Coxswain and Operations Coordinator.
- AHA CPR/AED Certification.
- Valid driver license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
