About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of eight to nine direct reports, setting performance goals and monitoring productivity.
- Organize workflows and ensure team members understand delegated tasks and deadlines.
- Enhance organizational systems to track and resolve eBilling issues, such as invoice rejections and resubmissions.
- Analyze rejection trends and patterns to develop corrective actions and prevent future reductions.
- Coordinate with billing specialists and management to track resubmission deadlines and resolve pending issues.
- Research and apply client guidelines and contractual billing arrangements to appeal or challenge rejected invoices.
- Liaise with Client Accounts, billing specialists, and client representatives to provide expert-level support for the electronic invoice process.
- Maintain mastery of major eBilling sites including LegalTracker, CounselLink, TyMetrix360, Collaborati, Passport, CounselGO, BillingPoint, and Corridor.
- Utilize Excel to pull reports, create spreadsheets, and manipulate complex LEDES files.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of legal e-billing experience.
- Strong technology skills, including proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing requests and deadlines.
- Ability to work overtime and manage increased workloads during year-end periods (September through December).
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree.
- Experience working with eBillingHub or BillBlast.
- Experience working with Aderant billing software.
