Early Years Teaching Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' education, welfare, and personal care in line with school policies
• Assist with changing where age-appropriate to ensure pupil wellbeing
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
• Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons
• Share responsibility for classroom discipline and pastoral care
• Play an active role in safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing
• Contribute to school life through break and lunchtime duties, staff meetings, and parents' events

Requirements

• NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care (or equivalent Level 3 qualification)
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Proven experience working within a school setting
• Strong understanding of child development and learning processes
• Thorough knowledge of child safeguarding arrangements and practices
• Ability to support professional staff and adhere to behaviour management policies
