Early Years Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for young children
• Plan and deliver structured activities including storytelling, creative arts, sensory play, and outdoor adventures
• Support children's development, wellbeing, and hygiene routines
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality standards
• Set up and tidy play spaces, adapting environments for different activities
• Maintain accurate records such as accident/incident forms, observations, and registers
• Build positive relationships with parents, schools, and team members

Requirements

• Passion for working in Early Years; no formal qualification required
• Caring, creative, and positive attitude
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
• Two references required (one from most recent employer, one from childcare setting if applicable)
