About the role
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for young children
- Plan and deliver structured activities including storytelling, creative arts, sensory play, and outdoor adventures
- Support children's development, wellbeing, and hygiene routines
- Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality standards
- Set up and tidy play spaces, adapting environments for different activities
- Maintain accurate records such as accident/incident forms, observations, and registers
- Build positive relationships with parents, schools, and team members
Requirements
- Passion for working in Early Years; no formal qualification required
- Caring, creative, and positive attitude
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
- Two references required (one from most recent employer, one from childcare setting if applicable)
