Early Years Learning Support Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a young child to assist with learning, welfare, and personal development
• Work closely with the Class Teacher and SENDCo to help the child access the Early Years curriculum
• Assist with classroom activities and promote positive behaviour
• Ensure the child's safety and well-being throughout the school day
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with parents and professionals
• Contribute to the wider life of the school

Requirements

• Understanding of child development and safeguarding practices
• Experience working with young children, either professionally or voluntarily
• Ability to adapt activities to meet individual needs
• Patient, proactive, and able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant childcare or education qualification
