About the role
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and plan engaging activities such as storytelling, creative arts, sensory play, and outdoor adventures
- Support children’s development, wellbeing, and inclusion while maintaining excellent safeguarding and health & safety standards
- Provide healthy snacks and assist with toileting and hygiene routines
- Set up and tidy play spaces, adapting environments to suit different activities
- Maintain accurate records including accident/incident forms, observations, and registers
- Build positive relationships with parents, schools, and team members
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
- Enhanced DBS check and exemption from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
- Two references: one from your most recent employer and one from a childcare setting if applicable
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
