Early Years Lead

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and plan engaging activities such as storytelling, creative arts, sensory play, and outdoor adventures
• Support children’s development, wellbeing, and inclusion while maintaining excellent safeguarding and health & safety standards
• Provide healthy snacks and assist with toileting and hygiene routines
• Set up and tidy play spaces, adapting environments to suit different activities
• Maintain accurate records including accident/incident forms, observations, and registers
• Build positive relationships with parents, schools, and team members

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
• Enhanced DBS check and exemption from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
• Two references: one from your most recent employer and one from a childcare setting if applicable
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
