Early Learning Substitute Aide

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, preparing, and implementing the daily program
• Prepare the learning environment, materials, and supplies
• Maintain the environment in a clean, safe manner
• Communicate with parents as directed by a supervisor
• Work under the supervision of an Associate Teacher, Teacher, Master Teacher, or Center Director
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children
• Support volunteers as requested
• Attend meetings and participate in professional growth activities
• Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and employees
• Assist other centers when requested

Requirements

• Must pass a health screening and TB test
• Must pass background fingerprint clearance
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Immunization records complying with Senate Bill 792
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to travel to different cities and centers
• Flexible with on-call assignments

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with young children preferred
