About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Early Learning Center program
- Ensure daily staffing complies with all state licensing regulations
- Observe early childhood classrooms at least one day per week to support quality instruction
- Assist in planning and conducting four annual school-age and early childhood events, such as parent groups and holiday activities
- Communicate clearly and regularly with parents, staff, and school personnel
- Oversee the implementation of lesson plans, assessments, and curriculum
- Act as an Early Learning Internal Coach to ensure tutors fulfill their responsibilities
- Manage the program budget, including bi-weekly billing accuracy and fiscal oversight
- Monitor program enrollment and conduct promotional activities like tours and open houses to meet budgeted numbers
- Ensure the site is adequately stocked with necessary materials, supplies, and equipment
Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- A bachelor's degree in early childhood education with eight or more weeks of supervised student teaching OR a bachelor's degree with six months of preschool experience plus approved child development credits/training/credentials
- An associate degree in early childhood education or child development with at least six months of preschool experience OR an associate degree with one year of experience plus approved credits/training/credentials
- Current Child Development Associate (CDA) certification with at least one year of preschool experience OR Montessori teacher training certification with at least one year of experience in a similar setting
