Early Childhood/Lower School Head Teacher PK 2-4

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver inquiry-based units of study consistent with the IB philosophy, emphasizing creativity and critical thinking
• Create differentiated classroom experiences through individual and small group instruction to support all learners
• Develop lesson plans utilizing diverse techniques, including projects, group discussions, and instructional technology
• Foster a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom community using Responsive Classroom approaches
• Monitor and report student achievement through regular formal and informal formative and summative assessments
• Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding academic performance, attendance, and social-emotional development
• Collaborate with school staff to implement instructional goals and participate in school-wide events and committees

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Education
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in a high-performing school environment
• Valid teaching certifications or licenses specific to the age group (PK 2-4)
• Proven experience interpreting and using data to inform instruction
• Expertise in curriculum development and assessment
• Proficiency in integrating instructional technology into the classroom
• Strong written communication, public speaking, and presentation skills
• Deep commitment to the school’s mission, core values, and inclusion statement
