Early Childhood Educator

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the program
• Support the mission and philosophy of the Children's Center
• Provide a nurturing environment and developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss practices and plan curriculum
• Engage in nature-based programming, including uninterrupted outdoor play and exploration
• Build sustained, secure relationships with children and their families

Requirements

• Associate Degree in early childhood education or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children from birth to 8 years old
• Valid Driver's license and ability to meet the College’s Motor Vehicle Use Policy
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month of employment)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and internet research
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in early childhood education or a related field
• Experience working with emergent curriculum or Reggio Emilia-inspired programs
• Interest in play-based and nature-based learning environments
• Prior experience working in an accredited childcare program

• Targeted pay range of $22.00 – $23.00 per hour
• $1,000 sign-on bonus (after 90 days and meeting eligibility)
