About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the program
- Provide a nurturing environment and developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Support the mission and philosophy of the NAEYC accredited center
- Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss practices and plan curriculum
- Foster secure relationships and attachment-based learning with children and families
- Engage in nature-based programming, including uninterrupted outdoor play and exploration
Requirements
- Associate Degree in early childhood education or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children from birth to 8 years old
- Valid Driver's license and ability to meet the College’s Motor Vehicle Use Policy
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in early childhood education or a related field
- Experience working with emergent curriculum or Reggio Emilia inspired programs
- Interest in play-based and nature-based learning environments
- Prior experience working in an accredited childcare program
Benefits
- Targeted pay range of $22.00 – $23.00 per hour
- $1,000 sign-on bonus (after 90 days of eligibility)
