Early Childhood Center Director

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop teachers and administrative staff
• Oversee daily school operations, including care, education, and customer service
• Build strong relationships with families and manage the parent experience
• Drive enrollment growth through tours and community outreach
• Manage school budget, financial performance, and operational goals
• Ensure compliance with Illinois DCFS licensing (407) and health/safety regulations
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain exceptional educators
• Maintain a safe and well-resourced learning environment

Requirements

• Must meet all Illinois Child Care Licensing Standards (407) for Center Directors
• Previous experience as a Preschool Director, Child Care Center Director, or School Leader
• Strong knowledge of Illinois child care licensing regulations
• Experience leading teams in early childhood education
• Demonstrated success in enrollment growth and staff development
• Strong financial and operational management skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, kneel, and work at child level

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or Business
