Early Career Structural Engineer (Renewables)

Responsibilities

• Assist with the research, design, concept development, and construction of load-bearing structures for renewable energy projects.
• Collect, compile, and analyze data from work sites, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, and geotechnical reports.
• Perform routine engineering functions and provide entry-level technical assistance regarding design requirements and operating strategies.
• Conduct inspections of proposed and existing site conditions to ensure conformance with applicable rules, standards, and permits.
• Generate accurate and concise documentation using electronic systems, 2D/3D illustrations, and work site logs.
• Comply with all safety guidelines, site-specific procedures, and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience.
• Proficiency with technical design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D.
• Strong analytical mindset and research skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with both engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
• Prior internship experience related to structural or civil engineering.
• Active participation in local professional practice organizations.
