About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist with the research, design, concept development, and construction of load-bearing structures for renewable energy projects.
- Collect, compile, and analyze data from work sites, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, and geotechnical reports.
- Perform routine engineering functions and provide entry-level technical assistance regarding design requirements and operating strategies.
- Conduct inspections of proposed and existing site conditions to ensure conformance with applicable rules, standards, and permits.
- Generate accurate and concise documentation using electronic systems, 2D/3D illustrations, and work site logs.
- Comply with all safety guidelines, site-specific procedures, and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- 0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience.
- Proficiency with technical design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D.
- Strong analytical mindset and research skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with both engineering and non-engineering audiences.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
- Prior internship experience related to structural or civil engineering.
- Active participation in local professional practice organizations.
