About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide critical R&D contributions throughout the entire product realization lifecycle, including requirements engineering, traceability, validation, and verification (V&V).
- Develop requirements traceability reports, qualification plans, and essential engineering authorizations to ensure products meet design intent.
- Perform risk analysis and apply defect prevention strategies to develop safe, reliable, and robust products.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including staff, team leads, and management, to integrate people, products, and activities.
- Engage in projects spanning conceptual design, development, production, maintenance, and retirement for both nuclear and non-nuclear components.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and engineering/scientific experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to work onsite in Livermore, CA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Engineering or a highly related field involving independent research.
- Experience working with Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) laboratories or plants.
- Experience in engineering design, qualification, production, or modeling/simulation projects.
- Background in product development, manufacturing, or designing/qualifying hardware and software.
- Proficiency in authoring qualification plans, requirements maps, and test plans.
