About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage TCB trust funds, ensuring alignment with operational objectives, budgeting, and donor reporting requirements.
  • Support trust fund replenishment efforts through the preparation of concept notes, pitch materials, and donor briefs.
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange events with donors to maintain engagement and transparency.
  • Draft high-quality briefing notes, talking points, and analytical inputs for senior management regarding G7, G20, and WTO meetings.
  • Represent the unit's technical positions in international meetings and working groups.
  • Design and deliver structured learning curricula and capacity-building programs for client countries.
  • Produce analytical reports, policy notes, and other knowledge products relevant to trade policy and investment.

Requirements

  • Master's or Advanced Degree in economics, international trade, or a related field with 12 years of relevant professional experience (or a PhD with 9 years of experience).
  • Demonstrated experience with donor-funded programs, including financial reporting and results monitoring.
  • Experience representing organizations in multilateral or intergovernmental trade forums (e.g., WTO, G20, UNCTAD).
  • Proven experience designing and delivering training programs for government audiences in developing countries.
  • Expertise in analyzing global trade trends and a deep knowledge of international trade and investment rules.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to lead under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
