About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategic implementation and management of the Think Africa Partnership (TAP) Multi-Donor Trust Fund.
  • Coordinate TAP governance processes, including Steering Committee meetings, workplans, budgets, and results frameworks.
  • Manage donor relations and resource mobilization efforts, including the development of donor proposals and strategic funding documents.
  • Lead the preparation of annual program reports and ensure compliance with trust fund reporting obligations.
  • Coordinate capacity building activities, including workshops, annual forums, and peer-learning initiatives for the Chief Economists of Government (CEoG) Initiative.
  • Strengthen partnerships with African research institutions, policy organizations, and government counterparts.
  • Manage program communications, including newsletters, web content, and the dissemination of flagship knowledge products.
  • Provide administrative and operational support, including procurement, consultant management, and grant administration.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Economics, International Development, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in international development, policy making, or related fields.
  • Proven experience working in African countries.
  • Experience working with multi-partner funds, trust funds, or similar complex programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with high-level government officials and international partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in French is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in other languages such as Portuguese or Spanish.
  • Experience in program coordination related to results frameworks and donor reporting.
  • Background in organizing large-scale professional trainings, workshops, or international events.
