E-commerce Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical guarantor for the Shopify architecture and the entire digital ecosystem
• Make critical technical decisions regarding performance, security, and scalability
• Develop key features using Liquid, React/Next.js, Node.js, and Shopify apps
• Ensure reliable data flows between Shopify and external systems such as ERP, WMS, CRM, and DataLake
• Define and evolve technical best practices including CI/CD, QA, automated testing, and documentation
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers on discovery, scoping, and technical feasibility
• Build and grow a high-performing tech team from scratch, fostering a culture of ownership and quality

Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of web development experience, including at least 2 years as a Tech Lead or Lead Developer
• Expert knowledge of Shopify, including Liquid, app development, and performance optimization
• Proficiency in React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Strong expertise in API architectures (REST and GraphQL) and third-party system integrations
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, software quality, automated testing, monitoring, and security
• Natural technical leadership skills with the ability to make structural decisions in a fast-growing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in management and building technical teams from the ground up
• Previous experience working in high-growth environments or scale-ups
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
