E-Coat Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform titration samples and chemical testing on E-Coat tanks at least once every 2 hours
• Utilize SPC charting procedures to monitor and record test results
• Adjust chemical pumps and perform bulk chemical additions based on test data
• Troubleshoot conveyor line jams and perform rack maintenance and repairs
• Maneuver heavy materials, including 5-gallon buckets and 684-pound barrels using a drum cart
• Maintain outside rack areas and perform cleaning using required respiratory protection
• Follow all safety standards, quality requirements, and departmental procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fluency in English with the ability to understand written work instructions
• Strong attention to detail for accurate measurements and testing
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools, including large pipe wrenches
• Ability to lift a minimum of 100 pounds and handle heavy equipment
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work inside tanks for maintenance
