DZ Residential Driver/Loader

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Manual Side-Load or Rear Pack recycling collection trucks on assigned residential routes
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete all required daily documentation
• Collect residential recycling and waste in accordance with established route and safety standards
• Operate hydraulic and compaction systems using proper techniques to prevent equipment damage
• Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or incidents immediately to supervisors
• Maintain route productivity, service quality, and high customer service standards
• Ensure strict compliance with all safety policies, PPE requirements, and traffic regulations
• Work collaboratively with Helpers and Supervisors to support efficient daily operations

Requirements

• Valid Ontario DZ (or higher) driver’s licence with a clean Abstract and CVOR
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or accredited training
• Ability to safely operate collection vehicles and hydraulic equipment
• Ability to meet all safety-sensitive position requirements
• Reliable attendance and flexibility for early start schedules and overtime
