Responsibilities
- Gather patient histories and perform physical examinations
- Develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans
- Scrub in to surgery and assist in medical case management
- Provide wellness care
- Develop client communication skills
- Produce appropriate medical records (SOAPs) within daily practice time limits
Requirements
- Enrolled in an accredited DVM program
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must carry professional liability insurance (e.g., AVMA PLIT)
- Ability to maintain professional dress and behavior
