Duty Manager Line Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Certify aircraft as fit for service under GCAA privileges and oversee the work of other engineers.
• Manage line maintenance shifts, including staffing levels, shift allocations, and personnel discipline.
• Coordinate with the MCC controller and Field Support Engineers regarding incoming defects and technical actions.
• Implement Safety Management System (SMS) processes and conduct formal Risk Assessments for operational changes.
• Ensure a safe and secure working environment, managing incidents to minimize injury and loss.
• Monitor employee training currency and identify staff for technical and personal development.
• Maintain technical facilities, GSE/tool stores, and ensure the use of up-to-date maintenance data revisions.

Requirements

• High School leaving Certificate or a University/College degree.
• Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License convertible to GCAA.
• Minimum of 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience in line maintenance within a busy hub operation environment.
• Proficiency in at least 2 Etihad aircraft types at Level 3.
• Strong people management and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
