Duty Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations and ensure seamless service delivery across all departments
• Supervise and coordinate front-of-house and back-of-house staff to maintain service standards
• Address guest concerns and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction
• Monitor security protocols, guest safety, and property protection
• Conduct regular property inspections for cleanliness and maintenance compliance
• Manage emergency situations and coordinate appropriate responses
• Prepare detailed shift reports documenting incidents and operational issues
• Liaise between departments to ensure effective communication
• Support revenue management and occupancy optimisation strategies
• Conduct staff briefings and provide guidance on service excellence
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Manage key control systems and security of restricted areas
• Assist with staff training, induction, and performance management
• Coordinate with engineering teams for maintenance requests

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in hotel operations or duty management in luxury hospitality
• Proven track record managing multi-departmental teams
• Strong knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle guest complaints and conflict resolution
• Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience in a 5-star or luxury hotel property
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Knowledge of emergency management and crisis response
• Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly Hindi or regional Indian languages
• Familiarity with security systems and access control protocols
