Duty Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of the property maintenance department and ensure all areas are maintained to the highest levels
• Assist the Chief Engineer in creating preventative maintenance schedules for mechanical, electrical, laundry, kitchen, and swimming pool equipment
• Manage the maintenance team and oversee the day-to-day rectification of all Maintenance Work Orders
• Conduct regular routine inspections on critical plant, utilities, laundry, kitchen, and public area equipment
• Lead guest room maintenance programs and coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Office
• Monitor departmental budgets, costs, and inventory
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, emergency procedures, and local authority requirements

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in hotel engineering
• Proven experience in property maintenance and problem-solving
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and life safety systems
• Strong managerial and leadership skills with a hands-on approach
• Ability to resolve conflicts with guests, supervisors, and employees
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum one year of supervisory experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Advanced knowledge of building management and engineering
