About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Maintenance Officer and Senior Duty Engineer in daily hotel maintenance operations
- Inspect hotel equipment including plumbing, electrical appliances, locks, heating, air conditioning, and bathroom fixtures
- Perform minor renovation tasks such as painting, carpeting, and furnishing to maintain hotel standards
- Identify system faults and coordinate necessary repair work to restore functionality
- Monitor firefighting facilities and equipment to ensure they are operational at all times
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities and maintain accurate logs and records
- Comply with all safety protocols to ensure the protection of colleagues, guests, and service providers
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in hotels, facilities, or construction
- ITE/Nitec Certificate in Building Facilities Maintenance, Electrical/Electronics, or Air Conditioning servicing
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and external mechanics
- A positive and helpful attitude towards work and colleagues
