Duty Doctor and Medical Officer

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessments and provide treatment for acute medical conditions
• Monitor the progress of admitted patients and update treatment plans as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including clinical notes and discharge summaries
• Report critical patient updates to senior consultants or specialists
• Provide immediate care in emergency situations such as cardiac arrest or trauma
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, wound care, and IV line insertions
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality care
• Communicate with patients’ families regarding conditions and treatment plans

Requirements

• MBBS Degree from a recognized medical institution
• Valid registration with the relevant medical council
• Strong clinical knowledge of medical procedures, patient care, and diagnostics
• Proficiency in Emergency Management, including BLS and ALS procedures
• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with medical software and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Commitment to ethical medical practices and patient confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate Degree or Diploma (MD, MS, or relevant specialization)
• 1-2+ years of clinical work experience
