About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team responsible for conducting due diligence reviews of bank customer transactions
- Oversee the client onboarding process and engage with clients, relationship teams, and third parties
- Mitigate risk through effective due diligence processes and control development
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk management
- Manage communication and collaboration with business heads, Legal, Audit, and regulators
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functional areas within the scope of responsibility
- Manage the allocation of people and financial resources for the Due Diligence group
- Mentor and guide talent development for direct reports and assist in hiring
Requirements
- 5+ years of Due Diligence experience, including risk management, client service, or operations support
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Expertise in risk management and client onboarding processes
- Strong skills in data collection, sourcing, and background investigations
- Ability to collaborate and influence professionals at all levels, including senior management
