Duct Man

Responsibilities

• Install, fabricate, assemble, and repair duct systems within oil and gas facilities
• Measure and cut ducts to required sizes using appropriate tools and equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for precise installation
• Perform layout tasks, including marking dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets
• Assemble ducts by connecting seams, joints, and parts using appropriate sealing materials
• Inspect ductwork for damages, leaks, or defects and perform necessary repairs
• Ensure proper insulation of duct systems to enhance efficiency and safety
• Adhere to all safety protocols, particularly when working in confined spaces or high-pressure environments
• Collaborate with HVAC technicians, welders, and engineers to complete installations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in ductwork installation
• At least 2 years of experience specifically within the oil and gas industry
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Proficiency with various hand and power tools
• Willingness to work in remote locations, including offshore or desert environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification or diploma in duct installation, HVAC, or a related field
