DSP Algorithm Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop next-generation RF and digital satellite communication systems
• Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point signal processing algorithms
• Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models
• Perform waveform development, characterization, and trade studies
• Support integration and test of payloads and spacecraft from unit level through in-orbit operations
• Support HDL-level design and verification
• Perform detailed system design and verification activities

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) or Digital Communications
• 1+ years of experience with Matlab or Simulink
• 1+ years of experience in systems engineering concepts (requirements, architecture, and verification)
• U.S. Person status required (U.S. Citizen, National, or Permanent Resident)
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with ASICs or FPGAs
• Experience with performance characteristics of analog electronics or data converters (ADCs/DACs)
• Experience using digital/RF lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
• Experience leading teams or leading IR&D activities
• Advanced experience with Matlab, Simulink, and systems engineering lifecycle
